Every great story begins in a place where the world slows down. UNICI’s story begins in Alassio, on the Italian Riviera — a town where artisans still open their workshops at first light, where family traditions are carried from master to apprentice, where each object is more than a creation: it is an inheritance.
It was here, in mid-2024, that the first spark appeared. Simone Lussardi, an Italian entrepreneur with more than 30 years in China and a lifetime in technology, had recently reestablished a base in Italy, choosing Alassio as his home. Surrounded by the scent of sea salt, citrus, and wood shavings, he rediscovered the quiet devotion of Italian artisans — and saw something both timeless and fragile.
One afternoon, while speaking with a local goldsmith, a simple idea emerged: to build a small website to help one artisan share his craft with the world.
But as soon as the idea took form, more artisans came forward. Jewelry makers, ceramists, leatherworkers, glassblowers — each with stories shaped by generations, each carrying skills at risk of fading. Their creations were rare, genuine, and irreplaceable. Their workshops held Italy’s soul.
Interest grew. Enthusiasm followed. And from that moment, the vision expanded beyond Alassio, beyond Liguria, beyond borders.
Simone brought to the table what artisans lacked: a lifetime of experience in China, deep cultural understanding, technical mastery, and Paladin Software’s trusted infrastructure.
Through Paladin Software Development Pte. Ltd., UNICI found its roots — a project entirely financed and nurtured with care, expertise, and purpose.
By late 2024, the concept became a mission. In May 2025, development began on what UNICI was truly meant to be: a refined, elegant bridge between Italy’s hidden masterpieces and China’s discerning collectors.
UNICI is not a marketplace. It is not a luxury brand. It is a story — a way of carrying:
…into homes thousands of kilometers away.
Through UNICI, a plate becomes heritage. A glass becomes memory. A crafted object becomes a story in one’s hands.
This is not commerce. It is cultural exchange. It is Italy, close at hand. It is artistry preserved, honored, and carried forward.
This is where UNICI begins. And through you, where it continues.
